A Business Ethics Prize is granted to KAV Hungária

Since 2000, the foundation of the Business Ethics Prize, it has been a renowned recognition in Hungarian business life. It was established by Professor Ervin László, Chairman of the Budapest Klub, and Mária Demcsák, founder and chief editor of Piac & Profit business magazine, with a view to draw attention to domestic businesses that set an example by their activity in responsible and ethical management, business presence and strengthening trust between society and the business sphere.
This year 46 companies submitted eligible applications, through nominations by economic actors and chambers, and also individually. KAV Hungária is one of the companies awarded a prize.
The panel, consisting of the founders and managers of earlier winners, decided on the basis of a separate set of criteria, including the importance of consciousness and social commitment towards a liveable and sustainable world for the individual company.
The Business Ethics Prize was awarded at the awards ceremony held by Piac & Profit in the evening of 16 November. This event was the closing event of the Hungarian Sustainability Summit, as before.
The management of KAV Hungária would like to say thank you for the Prize and extends its congratulations to the other winners.

Essential conditions for ethical business conduct in the twenty first century
1. The company demonstrates its responsible way of thinking through its acts. It assumes responsibility for its employees, for the well-being of its closer and broader environment, society’s development, the reversal of negative climate change processes and improving equal opportunities.
2. The company’s acts are not primarily motivated by economic gains at any price but also by taking care of others and considering their well-being.
3. The company is able to re-evaluate its expected business gains, by keeping in mind the interests of its closer or broader human, natural, and business environment, and it is able to transform the set of goals underlying its acts for the sake of higher objectives, sustainable development.

Belgium-based Reynaers is a leading European specialist in the development and marketing of innovative and sustainable aluminium solution for windows, doors, curtain walls, sliding systems. They are one of the leading players among main producers of aluminium systems on the markets they are present. On some markets they are a market leader in several product areas and on some others they want always be in the top three. The construction of the façade solutions for the Marriott Hotel Edition in Iceland was the first major joint project with our company, which has since been followed by several collaborations. Old buildings with a new function

Frameless sliding door structures with an architect’s eye
Each project poses a different challenge to architects and to door and window professionals as well. One of our reference concepts is based on the unlimited view created by the wing-opening roof and the space stretched by the floor. Filigree division solutions, as well as frameless sliding mechanisms, were the main solution to achieve maximum transparency. BAU FAIR 2023: The Battle of the Construction Industry Against Carbon
The "BAU 2023" construction industry trade fair took place in Munich from April 17 to 22, 2023. We pay attention to what the customer wants to create
The KAV team is constantly expanding; we are currently looking for employees for several positions. Henriette Hégli graduated as an economist and came to our company in July last year after a career as an executive and real estate salesperson. As project coordinator, she is responsible for preparing individual quotes. In order to be able to perform her task as optimally as possible, she took part in a freshman programme in the first few weeks of her start-up, in which she got to know in detail the individual work processes, the market for custom doors and windows and the KAV way of thinking.

Rebirth of a Bauhaus villa
This year, the Bauhaus is 100 years old, and it is a great pleasure for us to take part in the renovation of a property displaying the marks of this school. When the Bauhaus appears as a description of a building, it is a guarantee of clean shapes, exciting spaces and quality materials. Even so, it is important to point out that although several Hungarian architects were in contact with the famous German school, there are hardly any Bauhaus buildings, in the strict sense, in Budapest. Reflecting the environment with closing systems
The KAV approach helped a lot in its implementation. They talk to the customer and they don't want to sell a product, they want to answer questions and look for a solution.
I did not have to choose from a catalogue, so I was not forced to choose from a set of solutions, but was offered individual solutions to a given problem. Of the companies I worked with, KAV gave me the most technical support.

Finding the right solution for the project
