Energia2 – Energy Saving and Energy Utilization

The increasing energy prices due to the consumption of natural resources and the excessive carbon dioxide emissions make it inevitable that we rethink our approach and lay the foundations for new strategies. The message and task are clear for current and future generations. Efficient use of energy resources and finding new forms of energy utilization. The goal is to reduce energy consumption, use renewable energy sources, and protect the environment, while also promoting economic growth.

The most important task is energy saving and energy utilization. Schüco has given the name “Energia2” to the building facade and its components’ model. Equipped with automated openings such as the Schüco AWS window or built as a synergistic curtain wall system combined with solar and photovoltaic modules, Schüco products enable energy-efficient air conditioning.

These systems can be integrated “invisibly” into curtain walls and glass roofs where special security requirements are not necessary, ensuring high flexibility in design and construction.

Integrated sensors allow control of door and window opening and closing, as well as switching lighting, in curtain wall and glass roof systems.

Using hidden mechatronic Schüco TipTronic fittings, natural ventilation cycles can be controlled decentrally as determined by the user. Central control allows for effective and energy-efficient nighttime cooling of the building by opening windows.

Unitized Curtain Walls

Even in cases of using high-quality materials and special architectural solutions, economic planning and execution play a significant role. Therefore, Schüco has also developed flexible modular unitized curtain wall systems. These are based on controlled system solutions and modular components that include all pre-manufactured and installed components. With these, depending on the system type, heat-insulated frame structures with visible or flush structural glazing can be built – with high cost efficiency and thanks to prefabricated elements, as well as attractive design options. The flexible combination of system modules allows for easy fulfillment of task-oriented requirements.
