Facades with add-on constructions

Architecturally impactful appearances can also be achieved through the combination of various materials. The best examples of this are the insulated Schüco steel and wood insert curtain walls or glass roofs. They offer technically and aesthetically convincing solutions in unique appearances that are difficult to mistake: aesthetically pleasing combinations of aluminium and wood, or state-of-the-art, narrow steel load-bearing structures.

Insert Curtain Walls

Another area of application for insert curtain walls is glass roof systems, with wooden or narrow steel load-bearing structures. The outstanding advantage of the system is the wide range of shapes available, offering many different usage possibilities. Since the insert structures can be easily combined with Schüco roof windows, they are also excellently suited for the construction of glass roofs and conservatories. Each insert structure allows for maximum grid modules to be applied, and large spans can be achieved. The design is further facilitated by the wide range of available aluminium cover profiles.
