When our company started, our suppliers’ portfolios lacked windows with a design where the outer plane of the insulating glass runs flush with the frame. With this elegant solution, the facade cladding, frame, and glass panels all run on the same plane, adhering to the laws of minimalist design. The development of our Optivision® glass optic product line was initiated by the need for seamless level glass glazing and facade design requirements. The seed of our innovation began with doors laminated with painted glass panels, but today, even the door frame needs to be covered with glass. After the entrance door, our customers and architects expressed a need for a glass-optical window system. The demand was clear: to replicate the appearance of a door leaf and frame covered with conventional glass for other openings on the facade. Initially, we focused not on concealing the frame but on the structural realization of the hidden window sash. Our goal was to create elements with a consistent appearance of fixed and hinged sashes up to 3000mm in height, as well as a single-leaf hinged and tilt-turn execution without divisions.
Our development partner was Alukönigstahl, the exclusive distributor of Schüco in Hungary, with whom we made rapid progress. They quickly understood the market demand we uncovered, and both parties understood the importance of appearance and size cooperation. We applied the Schüco AWS 90BS.SI+ system as a base, developing a sash structure and a new frame fixing principle.
Optivision® has become a favorite among architects and designers because it achieves the effect of a true glass wing with concealed frame installation. The Optivision® project will continue to expand in the future with lift-and-slide products.
